Hello all our fellow picnickiters! My first post on our new shiny website. Almost feels like ruffling up brand new clean sheets.
So, why the rebrand. It’s always been on the cards. We’ve been discussing identity, and rebranding for quite some time now. When we first started the business we went all crazy on pinterest, downloading all their pretty floral designs and borders to create our own stationary and branding, but in all honesty, that wasn’t really branding. It was just snatching up pre-existed images and linking it to our name. We didn’t really have our own logo or brand and overall identity and the thing with identity is, that if you don’t have one, how can you ever expect your customers to know who you are and relate to your business? When you see the golden arches you immediately think Mcdonalds, and fair enough, our new branding isn’t as identifiable as the golden arches, but it’s definitely unique to us, and us only. And that was another trigger for me – I saw another company using the exact same floral border that we pinched off pinterest for one of their posts and that’s when I just knew that we had to change this.
We also didn’t want the typical picnic designs that a lot of other picnic companies have – don’t get me wrong, they are super cute and quirky but we definitely wanted to stand out and make our branding a bit more modern and eye catching.
We got the team from King Kroell to handle all our branding as well as our website – they are such visionaries and have really amazing design ideas and are definitely your more modern designers. They have a massive portfolio ranging from wedding stationary, branding, websites, jewellery making, you name it – they are a dream team!
And another look at our beautiful logo: (never get tired of it)
